BUYSSENS Employment Lawyers is a niche law firm specialising in all aspects of employment law, such as labour law and social security law, including supplementary pensions.

We also provide advice about contracts between self-employed persons and competition issues.  Our clients are large, medium-sized and small companies, but we also assist private individuals with a business profile facing issues in the field of employment and social security law.  BUYSSENS Employment Lawyers has its roots in Antwerp. We provide our clients with expert advice or represent them in (appeal) courts or the constitutional court.

Philosophy/Approach

The employment relationship is an essential part of our society. We are specialized in the legal framework that regulates this relationship and the different statutes under which it can be executed. 

We have opted to practise only employment and social security law. With 25+ years of experience of our partners, the firm can build on a very broad experience. Specializing in this field provides the best guarantee for both efficiency and high-quality work. However, this does not prevent our lawyers from focussing on other legal disciplines. This encourages “out of the box” thinking and generates new insights.

We attempt to solve any issue our clients present to us at short notice and in an efficient manner. Amicably if possible, in court if necessary. Insofar as possible, we brainstorm with our clients in order to prevent conflict.  First and foremost, we try to find negotiated solutions “out of court”. Legal proceedings are the ultimate remedy.
